Why Thirty Mighty Men

Named for the men who stood with David.

Scripture records a band of warriors known as the Thirty, mighty men who stood with David through hardship and battle (2 Samuel 23). They were not perfect men. They were loyal, courageous, and committed to one another and to God's purpose.

That is the brotherhood we are building, one man at a time. We have grown mostly by word of mouth: one brother tells another. 30MMM is independent kingdom work. We serve men from many churches and backgrounds, and we partner with congregations that want to strengthen their men.

How we build men.

Each program meets men where they are: a first 35-day commitment, intentional courtship, preparation for marriage, studying the Word, a weekly gathering, trades training, and a home for young men.

CLEAN

A 35-day faith-based devotional for men.

CLEAN gives men a daily rhythm of scripture, prayer, and reflection, walked out alongside other men in a cohort. It is a place to get honest, build discipline, and grow closer to God. More than 400 men have completed CLEAN across about 60 runs.

Grounded in 2 Timothy 2:22, PURSUE helps single men flee what pulls them down and follow after righteousness, faith, love, and peace, courting with purpose alongside brothers who call on the Lord from a pure heart.

Marriage is one of the biggest decisions a man will make, and the hard part starts after he makes it. No one runs a marathon without training. PREPARE helps a man train for marriage so he can go the distance.

Hands-on exposure to carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and automotive work for men in West Baltimore's Sandtown community, building character and a path to paid apprenticeship.

Sign up for a cohort

Tell us you are interested and we will let you know when the next cohort opens and what to expect. Men join from all over, since every session is virtual.

Walk it out every day

Each day brings a devotional reading and time for reflection and prayer.

Finish with your brothers

Complete the 35 days and join more than 400 men who have walked the same road. From there, single men can continue into PURSUE and engaged men into PREPARE.

Sisters walk it too.

Our work is with men. The women connected to them, their wives, sisters, mothers and daughters, can walk CLEAN too, with sisters beside them.

The Carpenter's Son

Skilled hands. Faithful work.

In His hometown, Jesus was known as the carpenter's son. This program carries that name into West Baltimore's Sandtown community, introducing men to the trades that build homes, neighborhoods, and livelihoods, and preparing them for paid apprenticeships.
